This past weekend
An early error at shortstop was costly in Friday's 5-4 loss at No. 11 Georgia. The Rebels used a six-run eighth for a 9-4 win on Saturday but lost the series on Sunday, falling 11-4.

Georgia had four home runs in Sunday's game, one of them by shortstop Gordon Beckham, a national player of the year candidate. Beckham also homered in Friday's game.
