PARRISH ALFORD:Rebels still have time to deliver on their early hype
OXFORD - No. 2 in America seems like such a long time ago.
That was the last week of February and the first week of March.
Now May is looming, and the Ole Miss baseball team has work to do to reach the SEC tournament.
Between then and now a number of issues have kept the Rebels from retaining that lofty status. The two most prominent would be injuries that have stretched the team's depth and experienced players who haven't produced as they did a year ago.
Through it all Ole Miss was able to rely on its pitching, which has been really good at times.

Bizarre yr for Ole Miss. For some reason, I think this team will play well down the stretch....however, if they miss the Super Regional, chalk it up as a huge miss with Satterwhite and Lynn as Jrs. Posted by Bo on 04-29-2008 at 10:33 AM [link]
