Rebels drop series to South Carolina
Cody Overbeck notched his 10th home run of the season with a solo shot in the ninth inning, but the Rebels couldn't dig their way out of an early hole as Ole Miss fell to South Carolina 4-1 on Sunday.
The loss dropped Ole Miss to 25-15, (10-8 in the SEC) and South Carolina improved to 29-11, (11-7 in the SEC).
The loss clinched the series for the Gamecocks who also claimed Friday's game while the Rebels won the Saturday game. The home team has now won the series 2-1 every year since the 1999 season.

Ole Miss fans out there...what’s the atmosphere surrounding the baseball team this year...meeting expectations, not meeting? For some reason, I was under the impression they should be doing better than 10-8 in SEC play.
