Pomeranz, Bittle pitch Ole Miss past South Carolina
Drew Pomeranz and Scott Bittle combined on a six-hitter Saturday, leading Ole Miss to a 5-2 Southeastern Conference baseball victory over South Carolina.
Pomeranz (4-1) gave up four hits and a run and struck out five in six innings.
Bittle pitched three innings for his fourth save. He allowed two hits and a run and struck out five.
Cody Overbeck homered and drove in three runs to spark the Rebels (25-14), who remain atop the SEC Western Division standings with a 10-7 mark.
