Tiger Woods reportedly plans return for March 22
Tiger Woods may have set a date for his comeback to competitive golf. He aims to play in the Tavistock Cup at Isleworth, Fla., March 22-23, TMZ.com reported Sunday.
The report, which cited "someone who works for the Woods family," came two days after Woods checked himself out of a sex rehab clinic in Hattiesburg, Miss. Woods, the No. 1-ranked golfer in the world, has not played in a tournament since his Thanksgiving weekend car wreck and subsequent allegation of affairs with at least a dozen different women.
Woods reportedly will use the Tavistock event as his lone tune-up before The Masters on April 8-11, according to TMZ.com. The non-PGA tournament typically draws top players because of its $3.5 million purse, and the tournament will be held near his Windermere, Fla., home.
