Derek Dooley's demeanor impresses

Derek Dooley's first public appearance in Nashville as the University of Tennessee's football coach Thursday was memorable as much for what he didn't say as what he did say.

He didn't diss Florida Coach Urban Meyer.

He didn't vow to sing Rocky Top all night long after beating (insert rival here).

He didn't accuse anybody of cheating — falsely or otherwise.
