TOP 10 ARKANSAS COACHING CANDIDATES

TOP 10 ARKANSAS COACHING CANDIDATES

Arkansas has a great athletic director in Jeff Long. But it isn’t a top tier job in the SEC. When I ranked the top 25 college football jobs, I had Arkansas at 9th in the SEC. UAB’s Garrick McGee was born to coach football

UAB’s Garrick McGee was born to coach football

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — Garrick McGee didn’t grow up just playing football. The new UAB football coach grew up living football in his hometown of Tulsa, Okla.

His playground was the Booker T. Washington High football field, where his father, Larry, not only made a living for nine years as the head coach but also became a legendary figure at the school. His classroom was often the film room or his father’s office during game planning and strategy sessions.
