Mississippi State’s Banks reels in Thorpe Award as top DB

Johnthan Banks is simply the best at Mississippi State.

On Thursday night, America named him the nation’s top defensive back.

The Mississippi State senior won the Jim Thorpe Award in Orlando Thursday, becoming the first football player in school history to win a national award.

Banks beat out Alabama cornerback Dee Milliner and safety Phillip Thomas from Fresno State for the award, which is given to the nation’s best defensive back.

Can’t believe, the nation recognizes a mississippian as being the best at something, and people have to find fault in that person. There are enough people in the US who run down anything associated with Mississippi. The fact Mississippians do this also is very sad.
