Finally, this ranking shows how many of the athletes from the following states actually signed with an SEC school (this data is located at Mr.SEC’s blog (http://www.mrsec.com/)):

1. Georgia – 57
2. Florida – 45
3. Mississippi – 35
4. Alabama – 27
5. Louisiana – 23
6. Tennessee – 17
7. South Carolina – 12
8. Texas – 11
9. Arkansas – 9
10. California – 9

These numbers indicate that the state of Georgia not only has, by far, the most high school football talent in the Southeast behind Florida, but that it also is the state MOST recruited and signed by teams in the SEC, which is the strongest and most competitive football conference in the nation.  That is some intense recruiting in the state of Georgia, folks.
